Thinning
I didn't notice my part getting wider on one specific day. I noticed it in photos — more scalp than there used to be, right down the middle. The Nov 2020 photo on my receipts page shows exactly where it was.
I'm not a doctor and this isn't a diagnosis page. But the common reasons a part widens: genetics, postpartum shedding, tight styles pulling at the same spot, stress, and plain age. For a lot of women it's gradual — you don't lose hair in clumps, the line just gets wider year by year.
One honest flag before anything else: if your shedding came on suddenly, comes out in patches, or your scalp hurts or flakes badly — that's a doctor visit, not a shampoo. Go rule out the medical stuff first. This page is for the slow, boring kind of thinning. Mine.
That's the whole before. No routine, barely conditioner. The 2020 photo is what "nothing" looks like.

Feb 2024 I started washing my hair like I meant it. The order: oil the night before wash day. Shampoo and conditioner built for damaged hair. Split-end mender on the ends, leave-in after. And for the part specifically — a serum, on the scalp, twice a day. That last one is the piece that's actually aimed at thinning. The rest keeps the hair I have from breaking off.
Most weeks. Not all of them. I was not consistent and it still worked.
Breakage stopped first — ends making it to the next trim instead of splitting off. Then, about a year into the serum, baby hairs. A whole layer of them along my part, standing straight up when the light hits. I took photos the day I noticed and put them in the baby hairs post — hold your phone up and look.

I can't hand that to one bottle. The new growth showed up on the whole system, used mostly-consistently for a long time. Anyone who tells you one product regrew their hair in six weeks is selling harder than I am.
Start with the routine, not a miracle product. Everything I use is on my shelf, in order. And if you're not sure where to start, ask me — it's free, and I'll tell you honestly, including "see a doctor first" if that's the real answer.
Does thinning at the part grow back?
Sometimes. Mine did, slowly, on a consistent routine — a year before I saw baby hairs. Sudden or patchy loss is a different animal: doctor first.
How long until you saw anything?
Less breakage within months. New growth took about a year.
What exactly do you use?
The full routine, in order, is on my shelf page.
Do I have to be consistent every single day?
I wasn't. Most weeks, not all. It still showed.
In the order I use it. Not sure where to start? Tell me what's going on with your hair.
